Luxman's original ODNF amplification feedback circuit was distinguished by a fast initial slew rate, low distortion, and wide bandwidth – delivering natural, high-fidelity sound. The L-505uXII featuresthe latest ODNF Version 4.0, offering improved high-frequency characteristics and lowered output impedance. A discrete buffer circuit, equivalent to that of Luxman's top-of-the-range C-900u control amplifier, is installed in the output stage of the preamplifier. This discrete design enhances the circuit's ability to effectively drive the power amplifier section while maintaining the purity of delicate musical audio signals. Luxman's Electronically Controlled Attenuator, LECUA, overcomes left/right level deviation and the differing sound quality of each volume point compared to conventional sliding variable resistor volume systems. The highly regulated EI-type power supply features four large-capacity, 10,000μF blocking capacitors that provide powerful speaker drivability, delivering 100Wpc into eight ohms.
